Throughout the process of “Steppin out in Faith” to launch the Restoration Life Center [RLC] there have been many evidences of God’s amazing favor and provision.
In Hebrews 11:6 the Bible says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He IS a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”.
We have to take God at His Word and learn to totally put our trust in Him. He alone is our provider. Although there are many ways God is blessing RLC I thought it would be a source of encouragement for you to hear a few of them. I’d like to highlight only two, one is related to His favor, and the other is about one of the programs we will offer at the center entitled, The Healing Journey.
The Healing Journey
One of the programs we will offer in the center is The Healing Journey. It is a 29-week program that walks women through a process of healing to wholeness. When one of my colleagues and I heard there would be a Healing Journey Boot Camp we of course we wanted to make plans to attend. The following is a blessing I received that provided the resources for me to attend:
I received a letter from a woman in Georgia who heard about “my journey” and enclosed in the letter was a check for $950.00 to cover, not only the cost for the Boot Camp, but also the cost to purchase the entire curriculum kit, and enough to cover the cost of the hotel stay. The Boot Camp took place in Bath, NY May 15th – 19th,
There were a total of six of us who attended. It was an amazing and life changing experience. I received even further confirmation this was the program God wanted me to use and that it is indeed orchestrated by His Hands. We offered the Healing Journey Program last year and currently we have 2 Healing Journey groups taking place at our Center.
Be An Angel Campaign
The other is about a program the Morning Call, our local newspaper offers, every year for all local 501c3 non-profit organizations to participate in. The program is called, “Be An Angel Campaign”. They take requests and allow local non-profits organizations to put their “3-wish list” in the paper giving local community organizations an opportunity to “Be an Angel” and grant your wishes.
For the last 2 years we have gotten everything we have wished for. To date we received, a potter’s wheel, a 42” flat screen TV that we use for our DVD small group curriculum, an Imax Desktop computer, and a printer!
God has truly showed us favor and we are expecting to receive this year wishes as well. It’s a wonderful thing to know that when you step out in faith God will meet you there in ways you can never even imagine!
Continuing to Move Forward
As we press forward with this vision, I realize there will be obstacles to face, but we know that God is for us and with us!
In Romans 8:30-33 it says, “And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.”
We received our marching orders and we are pressing on in Faith. God is putting together an awesome “dream team” of people who believe in our vision and who are committed to pressing on in HIM until we see every facet of it come into Complete Fruition.
Activist, Humanitarian and Civil Right Leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once quoted that, ““Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase”. We here at the Restoration Life Center have made the decision to continue our journey up those stairs by Faith.
In Joshua 6:25 it reads, “But Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho–and she lives among the Israelites to this day.”
It took a tremendous amount of faith for Rahab to hide those spies. She could have lost her very life.
She later shows up in the “Hebrews 11 Hallmark of Faith” in verse 31 where it reads, “It was by faith that Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed with the people in her city who refused to obey God, for she had given a friendly welcome to the spies”.
Rahab went on to become the mother of Boaz, who married Ruth from whose son, Obed, Jesse the father of David came, through whose line Jesus was born. WOW… A prostitute became part of the lineage of Jesus and the scarlet thread of redemption all because of her obedience and courage to take that STEP OF FAITH. What an encouragement to God’s precious daughters.
Whatever it is you’re in need of be encouraged to take that “Step of Faith”. That one step could make all the difference. May God give you the boldness and courage you need to take it . . .
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” Hebrews 11:1
